I just want to wish you and yours a peaceful and joyous new year. And if you want to wow your guest at today’s brunch or open house simply attach some balloons to strings (curling ribbon worked beautifully for me and you could even curl it more than I did) and freehand the numbers 2, 0, 1, and 4 out of cardboard from a box you have lying around. Cover both sides of your numbers with different colored construction paper and voila. Use tape to hang them all from the ceiling. The 1 and 4 wouldn’t stay put, so I put a piece of tape to one of the balloons to keep them still for photos. My family enjoyed using it as decoration and photo backdrop. Happy 2014!
